Happy bonsai gardening, everyone! Arigatou. - Wazakura Japan 【About Wazakura Japan】 Wazakura Japan (Hanafubuki) began their journey collaborating with Japanese craftsmen as to spread the authentic bonsai tools, ikebana flower scissors and accessories to the world. All items are 100% made in Japan. ・Japanese Blacksmith Small blacksmith shops are still existing around Japan. Their traditional skills are preserved and passing down to their descendants. Wazakura collaborates with the craftsmen from Sanjo-city(Niigata) where is well-known for over hundreds of years of blacksmith history. ・The History of Sanjo Blacksmith - Early 17th century, Sanjo's magistrate invited blacksmiths from Edo (capital) to Sanjo and introduced nail spike making as a second income source for farmers who were struggling to make living due to frequent storms and floods. Successfully, the production line was expanded to saw, hatchet and farming tools. In the late 19th century, sickle, cutlery, knife, and saw became their main products. Today, Sanjo's blacksmiths continue to forge cutting implements.
