W121 #1.7   This is a wonderful Nautical display of a taxidermy Humboldt Squid  in a glass dome display with wood bottom. This displays him nicely and would look good in any collection!  This display is approx. 8 1/2 x 4 1/2".   This would make a nice addition to any collection or nice classroom display or would look great in a boat or room with Nautical decor!  The glass dome is removable and you could also add more Nautical pieces to this display yourself and custom design.
These specimens are all by-products of the seafood industry (specifically, left overs from a local fish market) and would have been thrown out to rot otherwise. No animals were harmed specifically for this product.

The Humboldt squid, also known as jumbo squid, jumbo flying squid, pota, or diablo rojo, is a large, predatory squid living in the waters of the Humboldt Current in the eastern Pacific Ocean. It is the only species of the genus Dosidicus of the subfamily Ommastrephinae, family Ommastrephidae.
