VINTAGE TAXIDERMY BOX TURTLE
Neat vintage taxidermy box turtle measuring about 12" long.  Featuring a complete turtle with legs, tail and head, he is posed on his upright legs with neck elongated and tail curled.  This was my pet named George - I had him preserved back in the 1960s and he had been displayed in my Halloween room for years.
Condition is very nice with a few missing nails and some rubbing/color loss on one side of his shell as shown (this is not chipping).  You can see the stitching on the underside neck as well as the knot on the underside of his tail.  He was always curious and into everything, so we had him preserved with his inquisitive expression and head out.  Just a neat vintage turtle - fun addition to any collection!
