  • Condition: This cutting tool exhibits wear consistent with its age. Imperfections include, but not limited to: minor soiling & scuff marks throughout - some sparse rusting (see photos), evidence that these shears were well taken care of as there is evidence of old oil stains near the hinge. When closed, blades are just past plumb. That being said, these scissors are still very sharp. Please see photos for a better idea of condition.

    Description

    First time on market in years!
    You are bidding on a pair of vintage, used, signed, Japanese mini butterfly scissors.
    These scissors belonged to my Grandparents. I'm not sure how they were used, they either belonged to my Grandma, who probably used them for sewing/embriodery, or my Grandfather, who used them for trimming his bonsai. These shears can easily be used for both.
    We found them when we cleaned out the old homestead.
    At any rate, my Grandfather liked things sharp, so although used, these scissors have been well cared for and are very sharp.
