Ball (K-9)When I first read the patent listing for this ball years ago I had my doubts that one was ever manufactured, but to my astonishment I just discovered this in an odd lot of billiard balls a short while ago. **This Ball has been hand cleaned, waxed, and polished with
BBC product catalog No. 18-14.
The materials were obtained from “Tex” Zimmerman, legendary cue maker
and BBC Distributor, in 1965.
According To BBC, using their wax:
prolonged the life of balls
makes balls roll faster for more games and revenue
helped to minimize cling and damage on impact by neutralizing the different
coefficients of expansion of the different material layers in a composition ball
the wax helps minimize crazing, cracking and discoloration by providing
air sealer to exterior.
We have tried to maintain the factory fresh appearance of the balls to prolong their longevity.
