I had been wanting to dye a squirrel black for a while now, and can't believe how nice it came out. Glossy, fluffy, jet-black fur. I painted her up a bit with shades of purples and pinks in the face. She's beautiful.
I have her positioned on a floating shelf that I purchased, which will come to you complete with all its mounting hardware and instructions. So this is a free-standing or a floating shelf. All you have to do is screw it into your wall, and ta-da, taxidermy art that won't clutter up your home!
The shelf has been meticulously decorated with real dried moss, mica pieces that I mined myself, clear quartz crystal points, various other rocks, and a beautiful assortment of artificial flowers that gently frames the squirrel.
Everything is attached to the base / shelf, except for the squirrel itself. If you wanted to put her in a different setting and use the shelf for a different display, that is up to you! I just didn't want to mess up the underside of her pretty lil' belly so she's relaxing on there freely.
The shelf itself measures 7.5"x15.5." From bottom of shelf to top of tail is about 7.5." the tail is repositionable, as it's wired.
