    Description

    Genuine Gaboon (or Gabon) Ebony,
    scientific name Diospyrous Crassiflora.  The heartwood of Gaboon ebony is the blackest of all the ebonies typically containing some subtle dark gray and dark brown streaks.
    The ebony in the photo is the actual piece you will receive.  The rough sawn dimensions are 1-1/2 x 1-1/2 x 12".  The ends are waxed and the entire piece is sealed with Anchorseal.  It has been air dried for more than five years and is ready for use.
